Life is colourful!!!!


images (7)Colours carry a lot of meaning. Emotions have colours. For example, red indicates anger or passion. Practical purposes indicate red to be a colour depicting danger. There can be many interpretations for all the different colours. Imagine a colour completely in its depth and richness. Meditating with colours helps remove negativity and reinforce positive balance to our being. When you meditate with a particular colour, focus on the energy of that colour. There are 7 colours that we generally meditate with. When you sit to do this, sit quietly and relax every part of your body. When you are ready, breathe in the positive aspects that you want in your experience, and those which are associated with a particular colour. Breathe those in, focussing on them completely. Breathe out the negative qualities which are associated with that colour, as given in the list below. You can do meditations with a single colour repeatedly or you can meditate on all the colours. As you like. Make some personal affirmations associated with the positive attributes too, if you so wish.

This colour is associated with power and often thought of as a hot colour. It brings qualities of power, passion and energetic drive to mind. Use this colour to dispel selfishness, aggression and anger. The positive focus is courage, anticipation, enthusiasm and excitement.

 

Orange

Orange is a warm colour and stimulates enjoyment, fun, movement and vitality. It is associated with the warmth of a sunset, tropical fruits and exotic flowers. Use this when you want to break down the barriers, discover enthusiasm within yourself and get more fun out yellow orange rose 2003of life. Orange, the colour of forgiveness and freedom, this colour dispels hate, bitterness and your own self dislikes.

 

Yellow

Yellow is the colour of the sun. It is the most visible of all colours because of its brightness. It is linked with mental activity and creative inspiration that comes from a clear mind. When your mind is confused, let in a ray of sunlight. Yellow will dispel judgement, criticism and the inability to enjoy life. It will enforce optimism, joy and newness to life.

 

Green

This is the colour of the natural world. It has so many shades. It is essential for plant life, the green pigment called chlorophyll, an example of a natural link between a colour and light. Blue

Blue is associated with a state of well being and peacefulness.  The colour blue calms the mind. It is believed to keep bad spirits away. Blue is also a healing colour. It has the power to bring peace to a situation overrun with conflict. Blue is the colour of the infinite. Meditating with blue will induce trust and decisiveness in your life, it will dispel weak willed or easily led traits in the nature.

 

IndigoBuntingIndigo

This deep purple-blue is a rich dark colour. It is rare in nature, therefore signifies hidden depths, mystery and secrecy. In the past, spiritual rituals such as meditation have often been secret. Indigo’s rarity has given rise to association with power and religion. It signifies a commitment to spiritual values, human potential and expansion of the mind. Colour breathing with Indigo will develop the intuition and psychic abilities, it alleviates inner fears and inhibitions, it will encourage one to go beyond the known material world.

Violet is the colour of clarity and lightness. The colour suggests sensitivity of the spirit, stands for universal rather than individual or personal. The colour Violet will dispels frustration, criticism and lack of self worth, it enforces the intuition, responsibility and develops self worth.

White light is composed of all the seven colours of the rainbow. It symbolizes wholeness and spiritual purity. A white flag means truce, therefore peace. Meditation with the colour white produces qualities of perfection, truth, love and wholeness. This colour is a very pure colour and will help balance all negative traits and attitudes.

 

coloursColour can be a effective and powerful therapy in colour healing and balancing the mind body and emotions. The use of colour has been used for centuries to inspire emotional and physical responses. This is used in paintings, stain glass windows in churches , in intensely painted room or even clothes. So colour is not just a object of delight to our sense of sight, but a very interesting step into changing our moods, attitudes and health.

These techniques can be applied to revitalise, balance, or heal yourself . Colour healing can be used in many different ways these being:

* Meditation and visualisation with colours

* Wearing colours to create certain moods

* Using colours in your home to calm, energise or stimulate mental and physical responses.

* Eating certain foods whose colours can be beneficial to our bodies and state of mind.
