But!

Imagine you put your best effort into something and at the time you present it, its appreciated and a conjunction called “but” is added on, in the sentence to complete it. It may be a task, a job done at home or office, or maybe something you cooked for your family. I ask you a simple question. Will you remember anything said before the “but”? How much time will you spend thinking about all that was said after that conjunction? How did it feel? How would it feel if there had been no conjunction instead?

Have you ever thought about what compliments do to you? How they raise up your confidence and self esteem? They motivate you and push you to explore. They encourage you.
